Cristiano Ronaldo, the football superstar, is currently facing a collective lawsuit worth $1 billion for promoting Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.

The lawsuit was filed last Tuesday in a Florida court, alleging that Ronaldo “promoted, supported, and/or actively participated in the sale of unregistered securities in conjunction with Binance,” including selling his own non-fungible tokens (NFTs), resulting in significant financial losses for investors.

In response to these allegations, Binance did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment. Ronaldo’s representative declined to comment.:expressionless:
